The Cuillin from Loch Scavaig

The Cuillin from Elgol
Jean came to Skye in the early 1960s' in order to climb in the Cuillin mountains, met her future husband there, and has lived on Skye ever since. She has drawn and painted for as long as she can remember.
After a short course on the basics of etching at Edinburgh Art College, and having sold work in local hotels, she decided to open a gallery in 1983 (the third in Skye at the time).
Her first love are mountains, especially the Cuillins, and then birds and bird photography. In the last few years she has been all over the world on bird watching trips, and enjoys painting birds from her own photographs.
